Chief of Neurology – Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital
Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital is seeking a full‑time Chief of Neurology to direct the Division of Neurology, develop clinical services, provide administrative oversight, and manage quality and safety metrics. The selected candidate will join the hospital in Oceanside, New York, and may be eligible for a faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai based on background and experience.
Mount Sinai South Nassau is an award‑winning, acute‑care, not‑for‑profit teaching hospital with 455 beds, more than 900 physicians and 3,500 employees, serving the entire South Shore from the Rockaways to Massapequas.
The Division of Neurology currently includes two stroke neurologists, a neuromuscular neurologist, two epileptologists and three general neurologists working in inpatient and outpatient settings. The hospital holds the Joint Commission’s gold seal of approval for primary stroke, AHA Gold Plus Stroke Center, and is transitioning to fully thrombectomy capable 24/7/365 in April 2024. Additional services include a state‑of‑the‑art neurosurgical service, advanced imaging, an EMU launching April 2024, and upcoming cardiac surgery in 2025.

Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited university
New York medical license
Board certification in neurology

Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
System work ethic and desire to participate in a team‑oriented, performance‑driven health system
Prior leadership experience
Compensation range: 305 K – 360 K (not including bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).
