Position Overview The Construction Accountant will oversee financial operations, subcontractor billing, and regulatory compliance while working closely with project teams to ensure job cost accuracy and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage subcontractor billing and review payment applications.
Ensure compliance with contract terms, lien waivers, and industry standards.
Prepare financial statements, budgets, and internal reports.
Collaborate with project managers to track job costs and performance.
Maintain accounts payable/receivable and reconcile general ledger entries.
Support audits, tax filings, and financial compliance efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of construction industry accounting experience.
Strong subcontractor billing and contract compliance knowledge.
Experience with construction accounting platforms (e.g., Sage 300, QuickBooks, or Procore).
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
High attention to detail.
