Salary: £34,398 - £52,490 per annum (MPR/UPR including Fringe Area Allowance). Start date 01 January 2026. Full‑time, permanent position. Apply by 7 November 2025.

Overview Hazelwick is an outstanding 11‑18 mixed secondary school in West Sussex with 1,530 students in Years 7‑11 and 383 in the sixth form. The school holds an Ofsted "Outstanding" rating as of October 2023 and is a highly oversubscribed, high‑performing school with a Progress 8 score of +0.30. Responsibilities

Teach English to KS3 and KS4 pupils, with possible A Level teaching for a suitable candidate.

Enthuse, motivate and engage students, fostering a positive learning environment.

Plan and deliver curriculum that meets national standards and supports high student achievement.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop whole‑school strategies and share best practice.

Engage in professional development, contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 in a secondary setting. A Level experience is an advantage.

Positive teaching attitude, passion for working with young people, and perseverance to make a difference.

Strong focus on own professional development, with a desire to become the best teacher possible.

Candidate with an open mindset, ready to work collaboratively within a high‑performing team.
