Corporate Accountant
A public technology company operating out of Boston, MA is actively seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their accounting team. The Corporate Accountant will play a critical role within the accounting team and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of monthly financial reporting. This individual will participate in general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and consolidation of subsidiary results. The role also supports audit activities and drives improvements in financial processes and reporting systems. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Support monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate general ledger activity.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Review subsidiary financial data and assist with consolidation of financial statements.
Assist with the preparation of GAAP‑compliant quarterly and annual financial statements.
Partner with FP&A, AR, AP, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure cohesive financial reporting.
Provide audit support, including preparation of requested schedules and documentation.
Identify and recommend process enhancements to streamline reporting efficiency.
Participate in ad hoc accounting and analytical projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
1–3 years of progressive accounting experience.
CPA or public accounting experience preferred; experience in a publicly traded organization is also strongly valued.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with NetSuite or Concur is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong communication skills.
Comfortable in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.
Compensation $75,000 - 85,000 base salary + bonus + equity.
