Who We Are Looking For We’re seeking a talented and detail‑oriented Interior Designer to join our HHG Office Interiors team. This role is ideal for a design professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and enjoys bringing commercial interiors to life—from initial space planning to final layout and presentation.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in commercial interior design and an interest in projects across multiple industries, including healthcare, education, corporate, and mixed‑use spaces. You’re someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and creative problem‑solving. You understand that great design is about more than aesthetics—it’s about function, flow, and creating an experience that works for every client.

You’ll work closely with the Design Manager, sales team, and clients to translate needs into thoughtful, well‑executed designs that align with brand and project goals. This is a hands‑on role with opportunities to grow, contribute to process improvement, and be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

About the Position As an Interior Designer with HHG Office Interiors, you’ll play an essential role in developing project drawings, specifications, and visual presentations that bring client visions to life. You’ll collaborate closely with the sales and project management teams to ensure design intent is achieved, from initial concept through installation.

This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a passion for design excellence. Success in this role means delivering accurate, innovative solutions while maintaining strong communication and teamwork across departments.

Responsibilities

Create accurate and detailed space plans, specifications, and installation drawings using CET Designer, CAP, or SPEC software.

Develop complete furniture specifications, ensuring accuracy in product selection, quantities, pricing, and finishes in alignment with manufacturer standards.

Partner with sales and design leadership to understand client goals, program requirements, and project scope.

Support design development through product selection, finish coordination, and material specification.

Prepare and update project documentation, including quotes, presentations, and installation packets.

Maintain organized project files and ensure timely completion of all design deliverables.

Participate in client and internal project meetings as needed to communicate design intent and progress.

Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for product information, pricing, and technical details.

Contribute to the upkeep of the materials library and showroom resources.

Collaborate with peers to improve design processes and ensure consistency across projects.

Stay current on workplace trends, furniture systems, and evolving design solutions.

Qualifications

Degree in Interior Design or related field (CIDA‑accredited program preferred).

2–5 years of professional design experience, ideally within a commercial interiors or dealership environment.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CET Designer a plus.

Strong knowledge of space planning, commercial furniture systems, and finish specification.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments and with clients.

Interest in contributing ideas, improving processes, and growing within a design‑focused team.

NCIDQ certification or pursuit preferred but not required.
