Primary Objective
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the primary function of this position is to move finished products, stock, and other materials in the warehouse as well as load and unload trucks. The Material Handler will also complete both the shipping and receiving functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Strictly adheres to Company and Plant safety policies and procedures. Using a forklift, move stock, orders or material for other departments as needed as well as load outbound shipments, unload inbound shipments, and stage shipments for pick up. Prepare shipments by consolidating, crating, wrapping, labeling, strapping etc. Take pictures of products at shipping. Check products for other departments daily. Conduct daily and weekly cycle counts for finished goods, raw materials, pallets, crates, and other supplies that support production as needed. Conduct quarterly inventory counts. Maintain plant recycle bins as directed by the Warehouse Manager. Monitor garbage, cardboard compactors, and expired materials. Pick up supplies as needed. Conduct daily forklift inspection as required. Receive goods into the ERP system as well as physically into the warehouse. Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA's) from customer returns. Ability to effectively communicate with crew leadership as well as crew personnel daily to help maintain a high level of output. Other duties as assigned by the Manager. Qualifications and Expectations:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills, in English. Demonstrably clear and concise communication skills both verbally and in writing with internal customers, suppliers, and peers. Prior shipping/receiving experience. Possess a valid Washington State driver's license. Have forklift and scissor lift certifications Computer literate and able to utilize current software as it applies to all job functions. Detail oriented with a priority of accuracy. Good organizational skills with a proactive attitude and a team player. Skilled in Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to learn and utilize the Epicor ERP system. Willingness and ability to adapt to changing duties and requirements for the wide variety of customer requirements encountered and business / organizational structures and methodologies. Completion of required training elements and demonstrated competency in the areas of accountability listed above in this job description. Demonstrates compliance with all Safety Protocols and Practices. Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Report to work on time and be at work on a regular basis, as scheduled. Physical Demands
Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk about the facility. Occasionally required to bend and stoop. Occasionally involves assisting warehouse personnel in packaging, labeling and shrink-wrapping items. Able to lift 60 pounds repetitively.
