Shipping/Receiving Material Handler With CDL
At Pyrotechnique by Grucci, located on Radford Army Ammunition Plant for over 20 years, is a progressive, growing, and exciting company. We support our troops through the manufacturing and distribution of a range of training simulators and munitions. We welcome you to join our Virginia team! We are looking for an experienced Shipping/Receiving Material Handler with a CDL to support the daily movement needs of the facility by transporting materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations. On site training to obtain your CDL is available! General requirements include but are not limited to: Must possess high school diploma or equivalent. Be able to work and communicate well with others. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Possess a CDL, Class B with Haz Mat endorsement or obtain within the company within 6 months of hire date. Must complete forklift training and receive certification within 6 months of hire date. Prior experience in warehouse and/or inventory. Able to pass a drug and background screening. Be able to read, speak, and understand English. Physical requirements: Able to lift 45 - 65 lbs. on an occasional basis without assistance. Able to lift in excess of 65 lbs. on an occasional basis with assistance (using pallet jacks and hand trucks). Able to sit, stand, bend or move throughout the work area. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Load and transport materials, supplies, and finished products. Maintain inventory stored at within the facility, including incoming shipments, outgoing shipments, and daily movement transactions. Receive, distribute, and store products as directed in designated, secure locations. Perform cycle and physical inventories of all storage areas. Participate in training for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Use barcode scanners and learn all movement functions of the ERP system. Prepare and maintain records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information. Review shipments for quality and accuracy; review accompanying documents for accuracy. Responsible for pulling fireworks displays and all required transactions assigned by supervisor. Responsible for submitting display paperwork to as directed by supervisor. Perform inter-facility movements daily to support the DoD production lines and ensure all appropriate documents and functions are performed with accuracy.
