Mid Level Database Administrator - TOP SECRET Required – Fully Onsite
Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates (US Citizens with active TOP SECRET clearance) for a federal agency.
Title Database Administrator - Mid Level – Active TS required
Compensation Based on experience, qualifications and certifications, with standard benefits.
Clearance Active TOP SECRET required.
Location Huntsville, AL
Job Responsibilities & Required Qualifications
Evaluate and recommend database management system products to support validated user requirements.
Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications.
Maintain Oracle systems on a Linux operating system and (desired) MS SQL database administration experience.
Responsible for backup and recovery operations for servers.
Perform quality control of ingest and transform processes and products produced.
Perform rudimentary Linux systems administrative functions.
Responsible for entity-relationship diagrams and documentation of Oracle configuration.
Overall 5-6 years of information technology experience.
4+ years of Oracle database administration experience.
3+ years of Linux administration experience.
Multiple Information Technology certifications.
Knowledge of Government-wide system design, information technology equipment and services.
BS degree at minimum; experience can be substituted in lieu of a BS degree at the discretion of the government.
Government Requirements
Must have an Active TOP SECRET clearance and undergo background investigation and a drug test.
Must be a US Citizen.
Benefits Our standard benefits include 3 weeks of paid time off (PTO that includes sick leave). Any unused PTO is issued as a check at the end of an employee's anniversary with us. We also provide 2 floating and 8 public holidays. Floating and holidays expire at the end of each year of service. Company covers 50% of health and dental insurance for full-time employees; dependents can be added at extra cost. Employee health and dental coverage becomes effective after 30 days or the first day of the month following completion of the initial 30 working days.
