Qualifications

Proof of Associate Teacher Permit (ATP) from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC);

Higher education that includes completion of college units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) desirable;

Completion of 6 ECE units desirable. (Official transcripts required. Foreign credentials must be evaluated for equivalency.)

Previous experience working with school-age children ages 5-12.

Materials Required / Requirements

Option #1

– Attach a copy of your ATP permit with the document number.

Option #2

– If you do not hold a permit, demonstrate qualifications by attaching the following:

Official transcripts proving completion of 2 years (48 semester or 60 quarter units) with at least 12 units in ECE/Child Development core courses.

Proof of at least 50 days of instructional experience in a childcare/development program, working at least 3 hours per day within the last 2 years (official employer letterhead).
