Qualifications

Experience with students in resource, learning handicap, or communicatively handicap programs. Ability to run small groups, assist students in large groups in both Special Day Class and General Education settings, and support teachers. Combination of experience and training that demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties. Willingness to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire, if required.

Materials Required / Requirements

Must pre‑qualify by attaching one of the following documents:

• [A] Passing score from SJUSD’s Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current). No other districts’ proficiency exams accepted.
• [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
• [C] Official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units).
• [D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).

*** If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, you must have coursework evaluated for equivalency to a U.S. accredited institution.
