Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hybrid work arrangement)
Position Type:
Full‑time, Regular, $22.75 – $28.50 hourly; non‑exempt.
Position Purpose Serve as a key partner to Senior Philanthropic Advisors, managing advanced administrative activities for fundraising focused on alumni, parents, and friends of Dartmouth College. Support the PIPG team in prospect and volunteer activity, donor engagement, data management, and strategic event support.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to senior philanthropic advisors and the PIPG team, including prospect and volunteer activities.
Maintain accurate donor and prospect data in Advance, Data Warehouse, and other database systems.
Prepare and proofread correspondence, reports, briefings, and presentations for fundraising efforts.
Assist in planning and executing strategic development events and communications plans for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Travel support for frontline fundraisers, including itinerary planning and expense processing.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Advancement and other departments to support prospect relationships and volunteer engagement.
Participate in fundraising team meetings, providing updates and insights on regional and departmental efforts.
Manage confidential records and gift‑recording processes in accordance with Dartmouth policies.
Provide ad‑hoc support for special donor requests, event coordination, and volunteer activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five or more years of complex administrative support or office experience, preferably in an academic setting.
High level of initiative, autonomy, and attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills; ability to collaborate effectively.
Strong organizational and project‑management skills, including prioritization of multiple tasks.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and database management software; aptitude for learning new systems.
Good judgment and ability to interact with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
Discretion and confidentiality regarding donor‑related information and sensitive matters.
Strong writing and proofreading abilities.
Ability to manage complex scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with database management software (e.g., Advance, Data Warehouse).
Demonstrated ability to take personal risks to resolve challenges in a complex work environment.
Customer orientation experience with high‑level clients and senior organizational members.
Experience working with volunteers.
