ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Business Planning & Account Leadership:
Use digital tools and data‑based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy & tactics, allocate resources, monitor progress and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.
Selling:
Deliver clear and compelling messages to customers, probe needs, handle objections, and close calls with a commitment to action to drive behavior change.
Customer Development:
Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships, incorporating “total office” account management.
Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise:
Gather and validate key market trends, map account linkages, and apply therapeutic knowledge to uncover and prioritize opportunities.
Reimbursement:
Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics, anticipate payer access issues, and use Lundbeck resources to address challenges.
Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance:
Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, including FDA rules, and adhere to Lundbeck policies and procedures.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences from an accredited college or university.
2+ years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device, or related healthcare sector.
Excellent knowledge of disease and product training exams, with annual certification in product knowledge.
Strong work ethic, outstanding communication skills, and self‑starter mindset.
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Residence within 40 mi of the territory boundaries and valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Compliance with industry‑standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Experience within a specialty product sales force.
Background promoting CNS/neuroscience products (e.g., depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder).
Documented successful sales performance.
Ownership of fully integrated account plans.
Strong analytical background and experience with sales data reporting tools.
Experience in product launches.
Experience with alliance partners and co‑promotions.
Leadership participation in committees, panels, or related activities.
TRAVEL
Willingness to travel 30 %–40 % domestically.
Travel to meet customer base and attend internal/external conferences and meetings within the United States.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range: $117,000–$137,000.
Sales incentive target: $39,000.
