To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Lab Debug and Verification of complex embedded digital hardware products

Production Operations and Customer Support root-cause-corrective-action (RCCA)

Design of complex embedded digital hardware products

Design with cutting-edge technology from Intel, Microchip, Xilinx, NVIDIA, TI and beyond

Analysis including derating, reliability, and FMECA

Schematic integrity checking analysis with Mentor Valydate or equivalent

Bill-of-Materials (BOM) Configuration Control Management
-
Component Selection and End-of-Life Parts Management

Interacts with architecture/system engineering, program/product management, CAD & SI, ME, FW/SW, purchasing, and Manufacturing Operations
-
Design modules that include processors, network switches, backplanes, and IO modules
-
Designs using high-speed digital design interfaces including Ethernet, PCIe, DDR SDRAM Memory. Other support circuitry to include DC/DC power, Clocking, JTAG, SPI, I2C, UARTs
-
Develop schematics using Cadence DEHDL (Concept) or equivalent

Use of HW LAB tools: Oscilloscopes and DVMs for verification and debug

Lab Debug skills for both HW/SW that range from new development to continued sustaining
