Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to innovate with high‑end embedded technology to solve complex systems. You are a part of a dedicated hardware electrical engineering team that collaborates within hardware and across the organization.

Responsibilities and Experience

  • Lab debug and verification of complex embedded digital hardware products
  • Production operations and customer support to debug and resolve defects to the circuit and component level
  • Root‑cause‑corrective‑action (RCCA) in production operations and customer support
  • Design of complex embedded digital hardware products
  • Design with cutting‑edge technology from Intel, Microchip, Xilinx, NVIDIA, TI and beyond
  • Analysis including derating, reliability, and FMECA
  • Schematic integrity checking analysis with Mentor Validate or equivalent
  • Bill‑of‑Materials (BOM) configuration control management
  • Component selection and end‑of‑life parts management
  • Interaction with architecture/system engineering, program/product management, CAD & SI, mechanical engineering, firmware/software, purchasing, and manufacturing operations
  • Design modules that include processors, network switches, backplanes, and IO modules
  • Designs using high‑speed digital design interfaces including Ethernet, PCIe, DDR SDRAM memory, and other support circuitry (DC/DC power, clocking, JTAG, SPI, I2C, UARTs)
  • Develop schematics using Cadence DEHDL (Concept) or equivalent
  • Use hardware lab tools: oscilloscopes and DVMs for verification and debug
  • Lab debug skills for both hardware and software ranging from new development to sustaining
