Phlebotomist – Labcorp
Location: Oak Brook, IL
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 11:00 am–7:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am–5:30 pm, rotating Saturday 8:00 am–12:00 pm
Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.50 per hour (eligible for 2nd Shift differential)
Benefits: Employees scheduled 20+ hrs/week qualify for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Part‑time employees (under 20 hrs) qualify for 401(k) only.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Enter patient data accurately and timely
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
- Travel to additional sites when required
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or prior experience as a phlebotomist (required)
- 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Proven track record in exceptional customer service
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record, if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test
