Phlebotomist – Labcorp
Location:
Oak Brook, IL
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday 11:00 am–7:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am–5:30 pm, rotating Saturday 8:00 am–12:00 pm
Pay Range:
$17.75 – $24.50 per hour (eligible for 2nd Shift differential)
Benefits:
Employees scheduled 20+ hrs/week qualify for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Part‑time employees (under 20 hrs) qualify for 401(k) only.
Job Responsibilities
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
Enter patient data accurately and timely
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
Travel to additional sites when required
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or prior experience as a phlebotomist (required)
1–2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
Proven track record in exceptional customer service
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently or in a team
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and clean driving record, if applicable
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test
