This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment‑based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. We are seeking a skilled administrative professional for the Government Affairs Department in Washington, DC. The individual will support the SVP of Federal Affairs and her team, managing all day‑to‑day activities, scheduling, travel, correspondence, and representing the company at a high level. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the team’s day‑to‑day activities including schedule, travel arrangements, correspondence, messages, and communication with internal and external contacts. Represent the company during frequent contacts with business leaders and employees, and complete special projects upon request. Handle executive correspondence: e‑mails, phone calls, letters, and visitors; prioritize communications. Prepare executives for travel, public events, and speaking engagements by compiling information and contributing to presentations, speeches, or other correspondence. Organize and prepare complex documents requiring the integration of multiple office technologies and software applications. Serve as a resource for word processing, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet applications for executives. Research, compile, and analyze information and data related to the executives’ area of business. Prepare and maintain confidential information and data. Schedule and coordinate calendars of appointments, meetings, and travel itineraries. Perform comprehensive event planning and coordination, including attendees, flow of information, equipment, staffing, catering, and location. Oversee some administrative functions for the office as needed. Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor. Required Qualifications Skills / Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to prioritize and organize effectively. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner. Ability to show judgment, initiative, and accomplish job duties. Typing speed of 60 words per minute. Proficiency with personal computer and software applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work independently. Ability to work seated for prolonged periods. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Related Work Experience Executive Administration experience 3+ years. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of cable television products and services. Knowledge of office procedures and operation of standard office equipment (10‑key calculator, Dictaphone). Knowledge of organization policies and practices. Solid expertise in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working Conditions Office environment. Compensation The base pay for this position generally is between $27.54 and $48.78 per hour. The actual compensation offered will consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The role may be eligible for additional incentive‑based compensation such as bonuses.
