Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement accounting and finance strategies to drive business performance.
  • Prepare and manage monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and address inquiries, ensuring all deposits are verified.
  • Manage accounts payable, verifying and processing invoices while ensuring proper account allocations.
  • Develop strong relationships with financial institutions to support business operations.
  • Coordinate with external tax preparers and file necessary tax forms with government agencies.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance management roles, such as Staff Accountant, Controller, or Accounting Manager.
  • CPA license is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial databases and accounting software, including QuickBooks Enterprise.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with time management and payroll systems such as 7shifts, Toast, or Heartland Payroll.
  • Experience liaising with banks for business financing and growth.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and other relevant IT systems.
  • Ability to lift up to fifteen pounds and work for extended periods at a desk.
  • Flexible schedule with the willingness to travel to existing and future restaurant locations.
