Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the accounting department, overseeing general ledger, cash management, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate period‑end close processes, improving close timelines and financial reporting quality.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations, maintaining high standards of documentation.
• Draft technical accounting memorandums in accordance with FASB codification for complex reporting matters.
• Manage general ledger coding procedures, ensuring proper transaction classification and accounting treatment.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for operational improvements.
• Enhance financial systems, including ERP and payroll, to drive operational efficiencies and scalability.

Qualifications

Must‑Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with advanced knowledge of US GAAP principles.
• Proven ability to design and implement accounting systems, including experience with ERPs such as SAP or NetSuite.

Nice‑to‑Have:

• Experience in both public and private accounting, particularly in the renewable energy or utility sectors.
• Familiarity with technical accounting areas such as acquisition integration, revenue recognition, and ASC‑742.
