Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for performing quality inspections of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure accuracy in kind, count, and condition. This role involves reviewing packaging and documentation to confirm compliance with contract requirements and recording inspection results through manual data entry in a computer-based system. The position requires adherence to all safety, traceability, and regulatory standards, as well as documenting and reporting any non-conforming materials.
Job Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections of materials for accuracy, condition, and count
Review packaging and accompanying documentation for compliance with contract specifications
Record inspection data accurately using manual data entry systems
Maintain precise and up-to-date inventory records to support traceability and compliance
Identify, document, and report any non-conforming materials
Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support efficient material flow and operational goals
Job Requirements
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Basic computer and data entry skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Willingness to work on-site with flexible part-time hours (15-35 hours per week, occasional availability up to 40 hours)
Must be able to work under direct supervision and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Experience
Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling roles preferred

This is an on-site position; remote or telecommuting options are not available
Candidates should reside within approximately 30 miles of Cartersville, GA
Onboarding will occur at a designated facility in Marietta, GA before reporting to the work site in Cartersville, GA
