Space Data System Engineer (m/f/d) OHB System AG is a large system integrator in Europe and contractor for space‑based radar missions and development programmes for future Earth observation and security missions. In this context, we are looking for an experienced System Engineer to support the Space Data Systems‑and Development Programme team in Salem.
Your Tasks
Definition, generation, implementation and improvement of radar algorithms for both satellite‑ and ground‑segment data processing subsystems
Testing, evaluation and refinement of radar data products
Support the project management in reviews, technical‑ and project milestones
Support the satellite‑, instrument‑ and ground‑segment teams with feedback and pragmatic solutions to minimise risks, optimise performance and drive innovation
Support for a simulator architecture and environment development
Ensure technical information exchange and networking within project team, with internal functional and technical departments and external entities
Your Qualifications
Completed studies in aerospace‑engineering, physics, electronics, or similar qualification
Significant experience as radar data system engineer (m/f/d) or similar positions in comparable projects
Very good technical and analytical skills
Extensive experience in radar algorithms, data processing and radar products
Programming skills (e.g. C++) and experience with AI technologies for data processing optimisation is a big plus
High sense of responsibility, solution‑oriented mindset
Well organised, pro‑active and good communication skills
Very good team working skills and motivation capabilities
Willingness to consciously learn and broaden your experience
Good language skills in written and spoken English and ideally German
