About the role
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role supporting the financial operations of our growing multi‑entity café group. This role is responsible for full‑cycle accounting across multiple locations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounts receivable and payable, supporting audits and compliance, and bank reconciliation. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, hospitality industry experience, and a passion for process improvement in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Your expertise will ensure financial accuracy and support our continued growth.
What you’ll do
Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations across multiple entities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain fixed‑asset schedules and depreciation records
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Support external audits and tax filings with accurate documentation
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash‑management reports
Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards in a hospitality setting
Provide support for internal and external audits
Propose and implement improvements to streamline AR and reconciliation workflows
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
2‑5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or food service
Strong knowledge of POS systems, bank reconciliation, and AR processes
Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
Experience working with multiple retail or restaurant locations
Familiarity with catering or wholesale invoicing systems
Understanding of GAAP and audit processes
Salary range for this position is
$65,000 – $80,000
annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
