At Regions, the Credit Risk Analyst – Capital Markets performs advanced credit risk analyst duties as a second line of defense function for the Regions’ Capital Markets business.
Primary Responsibilities
Conducts complex identification, measurement, monitoring and reporting tasks related to the Capital Markets portfolio
Designs, develops and reports independent analyses
Resolves a range of problems and analyzes solutions using standard procedures
Reviews credit approval packages in preparation for approval discussions. Provides summary of analysis and recommended questions for the meeting
Reviews and approves application letters and commitment letters for transactions approved by Real Estate Capital Markets
Completes and distributes a summary of all initial loan approvals to include any conditions for approvals as requirements for final approval package
Reviews detailed reports to monitor loan performance. Identifies potential performance issues and follows up with first line and credit risk parties to determine where loans warrant risk rating reviews
Reviews risk rating documentation and provides feedback
Acts as a resource to the team on topics related to policies, procedures, servicing requirements and capital markets-related reports
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field
Five (5) years of related experience
Working knowledge of fundamental risk theories, principles, and concepts
Skills and Competencies
Ability to learn additional systems as needed
Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
Ability to work under moderate guidance
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
Job Range Target: Minimum: $84,757.75 USD
50th Percentile: $115,960.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans: This job may participate in an annual discretionary bonus plan.
