Position Overview We’re seeking a Membership Director who’s passionate about people, organization, and impact. This position blends relationship‑building with data precision and financial stewardship. You’ll be the connection point for Chamber members—ensuring they feel supported, informed, and engaged—while maintaining accurate membership and financial records. You’ll work closely with the Chamber team to grow membership, coordinate sponsorships, and ensure that every member experience reflects our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities Relationship Building
Serve as a trusted advocate and “go‑to” resource for Chamber members
Cultivate meaningful relationships that support retention and engagement
Collaborate with the team to plan and deliver member events and networking opportunities
Membership Operations
Maintain and update the Chamber’s membership database with accuracy
Manage invoicing, receivables, and deposits
Track renewals, sponsorships, and investments
Identify opportunities to enhance the member experience
Teamwork & Administration
Assist with budgeting, monthly reporting, and financial processes
Support grant applications and program administration
Serve as staff liaison to the Chamber Ambassadors and North Iowa Builders Exchange
Pitch in as needed—our team works collaboratively to make big things happen
What We’re Looking For
A natural relationship builder with a professional, approachable demeanor
Detail‑oriented and financially savvy
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and comfortable with membership databases/CRM systems
A proactive communicator who values teamwork and accountability
Passionate about enhancing the North Iowa region
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
2–4 years of experience in membership management, sales, or nonprofit administration
Salary range: $40,000–$60,000, with option for commission‑based pay
100% employer‑paid health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
