You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, interface with customers, and travel to commissioning sites where your work directly powers communities.**How You’ll Make an Impact*** Design and implement control systems using MACH for FACTS applications* Develop and test control algorithms for power converters* Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing with real-time simulators* Collaborate with global engineering teams and customers during project execution* Lead factory acceptance testing and support site commissioning* Create and maintain technical documentation and test records* Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to system evolution* Provide technical support and participate in customer meetings* Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines**Your Background*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering (default if not specified)* M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Power Systems, Power Electronics, or Control Theory* 10+ years of experience in control systems or power electronics* Strong understanding of FACTS applications and control theory* Experience with MATLAB, PI/PID control algorithms, and signal processing* Knowledge of VHDL and DSP fundamentals is a plus* Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United StatesWe pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
