You can view our cookie policyStep into a transformative leadership role as the Vice President of Shared Platform Services at Clarivate. In this position, you will architect, operate, secure, and continuously evolve our shared technology platforms, including infrastructure and services that form the technological backbone for global information services company. These platforms encompass physical datacentre and public cloud infrastructure, internal developer platforms and tools, APIs, identity, authentication and entitlement services, monitoring, and service reliability capabilities.You will be responsible for ensuring that these platforms are secure, scalable, highly available, compliant to regulatory requirements, cost-efficient, and responsive to dynamic business needs. Your leadership will foster innovation, efficiency, and consistency. This position works closely with product engineering, operations, finance, security, and business stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide growth and unlock new potential.**About You: Experience, Education & Skills****Education:** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field. **Professional Experience:** At least 12 years working in software engineering, platform, infrastructure, or operations roles. **Leadership:** Minimum of 10 years in senior leadership positions (such as Director, Senior Director, or Vice President), specifically overseeing platform, infrastructure, or shared services teams.
Demonstrated success in building and operating large-scale platforms and shared services within complex, global environments. This includes experience with microservices, cloud and hybrid architecture, automation, and physical infrastructure.**Specialized Skills:** Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containerization, orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes), observability, reliability engineering, and DevOps practices. **Additional Technical Experience:** Familiarity with service-oriented architecture, API gateways, event-driven systems, data platforms, identity and authentication systems, infrastructure as code, and internal developer platforms are highly valued. **Operational Management:** Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and managing vendor relationships. **Global Collaboration:** Proven ability to work with engineering and operations teams across multiple regions, including the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and India. **Incident Management:** Hands-on experience managing a 24/7 rapid response center (such as a Network Operations Center, Incident Management, or Monitoring Center). **Compliance & Security:** Working knowledge of major compliance and security frameworks (such as SOC2, GDPR, and ISO standards). **Mergers & Acquisitions:** Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in a global organization, including the rapid integration of personnel and systems. - Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures- Prior experience in internal developer platforms or infrastructure-as-code environments- Proven experience in physical data centre consolidationExpertise in scaling internal platforms while preserving developer experienceAdditional familiarity with compliance and security frameworks (e.g., SOC2, GDPR, ISO)In this role, you will:**Work Hours & Location**- Hybrid role: work in the office two days per week in our Kansas City or Philadelphia office locationsClarivate is a global leader in trusted and transformative intelligence.
