Donor Events Manager

Position Overview The Donor Events Manager leads, designs, and executes a wide range of donor events—from highly curated dinners to large‑scale celebrations and virtual gatherings—as part of the Donor Engagement team on the Resource Generation Branch. Reporting to the Associate Director of Donor Experience, the Manager works closely on program design and ensures seamless event planning, execution, and follow‑up while overseeing staff and vendors responsible for event logistics. This role requires exceptional project management and the ability to lead across internal teams and external partners, with the overarching goal of strengthening relationships with donors, stakeholders, and partners through first‑rate events that uphold Partners in Health’s (PIH) brand and support the revenue generation strategy for the organization.
Responsibilities Event Management (70%)
Develop comprehensive event execution plans that support overall event goals and desired outcomes, integrating stakeholders across teams and ensuring best practices in event management, logistics, and attendee engagement.
Manage event execution plans, including project and stakeholder management throughout the event lifecycle; develop and manage communication streams; serve as an internal and external point of contact; manage budget, invoices, and deadlines; design materials (invitation, promotional); review all copy sent to invitees, speakers, and external hosts; problem‑solve when issues arise; lead day‑of execution and support follow‑up.
Train and oversee Resource Generation Branch Coordinators on event tasks such as venue search, invitation list management, mailing of invitations, RSVP tracking, material production, travel coordination, invoice management, database updates, and other required tasks.
Provide high‑level support for events led by the Associate Director of Donor Experience and collaborate on new and innovative event strategies.
Stay up‑to‑date on best practices for project management and event inclusivity; implement tools and strategies accordingly with the Associate Director.
Travel to execute events in person as needed.
Program Design (25%)
Work closely with the Associate Director in conceptualizing and designing donor events tailored to target audiences, ensuring alignment with PIH’s mission, priorities, and brand.
Create, implement, and refine templates, tools, and processes that scaffold event planning for maximum efficiencies, collaboration, and communication.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve database systems and reporting tools to track event KPIs and support strategic decision‑making.
Team Support (5%)
Provide insight and input on fiscal year strategy and planning.
Lead special projects as they arise.
Support the overall donor engagement team as needed, assisting with site‑visit execution and collateral design integration.
Qualifications
5 years of non‑profit events experience or related work.
Ability to work independently, handle competing priorities with great attention to detail, and manage multiple event plans simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high organization and flexibility.
Demonstrated program design capabilities, focusing on customer experience, budgeting, deadlines, efficiencies, effective communication and collaboration, and standardization of tools and templates.
Solid computer and database skills.
Preferred: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience in Salesforce, Blackthorn, HubSpot, Asana, InDesign, and Photoshop is a plus.

Pay and Benefits Expected starting salary range: $70,000‑$80,000 per year (class range $70,000‑$95,000).
