Accounting Manager
for their Dallas office. The Accounting Manager will assist in administering policies and procedures for the Firm’s accounting operations. This role will also assist in completing administrative, organizational, and analysis tasks in monitoring the financial health of the firm. The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Controller. Duties & Responsibilities
Review and maintain accounting records using Sage Intacct. Review and calculate monthly bonuses. Prepare Client Disbursement for two entities. Oversee accounting processes and provide evaluation and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring department workload is aligned to achieve performance goals and staff is sufficiently cross trained. Maintain current Chart of Accounts. Train new employees as needed ensuring they understand accounting and financial policies. Partner with Controller in preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports. Assist in the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of written policies and practices as established by Firm management. Assist in identifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records. Assist in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the general accounting processes of the Firm including time, and cost entry, AP, cash management, trust accounting, general ledger, fixed asset accounting and financial reporting. Assist in maintaining and improving the Firm’s accounting systems. Assist in coordinating and supervising reconciliations of accounting systems and data flow, timeliness of data capture and variance analysis. Coordinate preparation and submission of schedules in connection with the annual financial audit with external auditors. Assist in establishing and maintaining internal controls. Assist in managing tax reporting and compliance with the Firm’s external CPA firm. Ensure timely bank reconciliations of all bank accounts. Oversee reporting requirements including 1099’s. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with legal industry experience preferred. Minimum 5-8 years supervisory experience leading accounting operations. Significant experience with large ERP systems required, and experience with Sage Intacct and ADP preferred. Proficient in basic office software programs including Microsoft Office. Highly organized with keen attention to detail. Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking, and problem solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
