Position Overview We have been exclusively engaged, seeking an
Accounting Manager
who is ready to roll up their sleeves and take ownership of the accounting function. This position will oversee day-to-day transactional accounting while also preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. The ideal candidate is comfortable in the details (journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR) while also able to step up into broader financial leadership. This role has a clear growth path into a Controller-level position.
Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements; present results to leadership.
Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Handle sales tax audits, refunds, and compliance reporting.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all accounting functions, including payroll support (ADP).
Partner with leadership to recommend process improvements and system efficiencies (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ServiceTitan).
Support external relationships with auditors, banks, and advisors.
Supervises 2: accounts payable and accounts receivable
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
6+ years of progressive accounting experience (construction or service-based industry experience required).
Proficiency in QuickBooks or Sage Intacct
Strong GAAP knowledge with hands-on experience in transactional accounting.
Proven ability to manage high-volume AP/AR while maintaining accuracy.
Detail-oriented, self-starter, and comfortable working in a small-business environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor accounting staff.
Experience with ADP or ServiceTitan is preferred.
