Test and Evaluation Lab Technician 1 (contract) This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full‑time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN SECURITY CLEARANCE.

Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems. Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre‑test setup, integration, checkout, and post‑test tear‑down. Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results. Troubleshoots basic laboratory and test‑related problems. Works under close supervision.

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

Obtain appropriate drawings, specifications, documents, and sketches.

Perform system installation measurements using general test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, meters) and troubleshoot when measurements are out of spec.

Install, remove, or modify experimental/production aircraft wiring using mechanical and electrical hand tools to meet engineering specifications and non‑conformance reports.

Assist in developing methods and procedures to diagnose and correct malfunctions when methods and procedures have not been established.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to analyze and calculate circuit values (basic understanding of Ohm’s law, series/parallel resistance, Faraday’s law, Kirchhoff’s current law).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Operate general test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, meters) and interpret results.

Knowledge of routing, clamping, tying, connecting, and terminating wires and/or wire bundles in electrical systems per applicable electrical codes.

Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and wiring diagrams to determine faulty components to replace or repair.

Effective communication of information.

Project / Day‑to‑Day Activities Support troubleshooting of electrical functional test failures in production/factory.

Required Technical/Software Skills

Strong electrical/electronic background; ability to calculate series/parallel resistor networks to resolve cable shield net resistance.

Knowledge of airplane wiring and shielding.

Ambitious, driven, and capable of performing in a high‑stress production environment; mission mindset.

Pay Rate Range USD $20–$25 per hour
