Senior Civil Engineer
Full time / Permanent
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 / year
Location: Durham (3 days in office / site, 2 days from home)
Responsibilities
Working as a lead civils designer.
Delivering efficient and cost‑effective projects to satisfy client requirements whilst coordinating deliverables.
Working collaboratively with other disciplines.
Liaising with relevant statutory authorities for section agreement approvals.
Producing drainage (foul & surface water) and external works designs for coordination with other disciplines.
Providing technical support to the multi‑discipline team.
Completing H&S risk assessments in coordination with CDM requirements.
Preparing technical specifications and assisting the quantity surveying team with the development of Bills of Quantities.
Visiting sites and attending meetings.
Carrying out inspections and surveys as required.
Providing leadership and support to other team members, including mentoring and supporting new graduate team members.
Completing project reports.
Contributing as appropriate to planning of project work and resourcing planning of the infrastructure team.
Qualifications
Degree in civil or structural engineering.
Experience working for an engineering consultancy in the UK managing project delivery and providing leadership.
Experience using PDS, Civils 3D, AutoCAD, and/or Microdrainage.
Full competency in the conceptual and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including earthworks, roads and drainage.
Working towards IEng or CEng.
Full UK driving licence.
