Oak View Group (OVG) invites applications for a full‑time Warehouse Manager at the Mortgage Matchup Center in downtown Phoenix, AZ. OVG is a global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for the live event industry.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the effective management and operation of venue distribution‑warehouse activities, including inventory management, receiving, purchasing, ordering, lay‑ins, purchase order tracking, clean‑up, transfers, and equipment maintenance. The role requires a high level of event oversight and technical proficiency, as well as personnel support to ensure the seamless execution of all assigned events. The Warehouse Manager will actively supervise, coach, counsel, and mentor warehouse staff, manage employee relations, and ensure a positive, compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
Product purchasing/ordering, receiving, and distribution control for the venue.
Track purchase orders, requisitions, receiving dockets, and perpetual inventory; report deviations to the General Manager.
Maintain and manage sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
Assist with Premium Services or Concessions event operations as directed.
Provide direction to part‑time staff to ensure all lay‑ins are completed for each event, including requisitioning during events, post‑event break down, returns, equipment storage, sanitation, and maintenance.
Verify proper specification, size, quantity, and labeling of goods received; supervise proper stocking.
Ensure appropriate stocking levels are maintained for each event; rotate and maintain product integrity.
Oversee transfer processes between buildings, including documentation.
Perform routine maintenance and maintenance of concession and utility equipment (portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, lighting).
Evaluate employee performance and maintain records, written warnings, reviews, and related documents.
Conduct walk‑throughs of the commissary, warehouse, and storage areas after event completion to ensure cleanliness.
Oversee daily operations as opening or closing manager on duty.
Assist Office Manager with daily/weekly/monthly sales and AR/AP when needed.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of warehouse/distribution experience.
3–5 years of supervisory experience.
Forklift certification.
Excellent communication skills with staff, volunteers, management, and guests.
Ability to make sound business/operations decisions under pressure.
Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Computer skills: Microsoft Office, POS systems, time‑keeping systems.
Team‑oriented, fast‑paced, event‑driven mindset.
Knowledge of concession locations, evacuation procedures, and equipment.
Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit (if required).
Understanding of sanitation requirements, food prep guidelines, service policies, and safety standards.
Basic math skills for POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory.
Cash handling accuracy and responsibility.
