We are seeking a highly skilled OpenShift Developer to support the development and deployment of enterprise software applications in a cloud-native environment.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in container orchestration, CI/CD integration, and secure coding practices.
This role involves working on complex systems designed for high-volume transaction processing and modular microservices architecture.
Key Responsibilities Participate in complex initiatives including installation, upgrades, and deployments within the OpenShift platform. Design, develop, test, debug, and document scalable and secure Kubernetes-based infrastructure. Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and OpenShift. Create and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes application management. Write and maintain scripts for automating deployments, monitoring, and system maintenance. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance within Kubernetes. Ensure high availability and security of applications and services. Conduct regular security audits and apply container security best practices. Document designs, implementations, and configurations for internal teams and stakeholders. Manage multiple cluster environments and data centers.
Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience with OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts. 3+ years of cloud-native development and DevOps experience. 2+ years of experience integrating OpenShift with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions. Strong understanding of cloud computing and container orchestration. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. Experience with legacy Unix application administration. Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with OpenShift networking, Ingress/Route, TLS/SSL, and RBAC. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot Kubernetes infrastructure issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications Experience setting up vendor application Exstream Cloud Native on OpenShift. Familiarity with secure coding practices and vulnerability scanning. Experience with databases such as SQL Server, MongoDB, and Postgres. Exposure to Kafka, AVRO, Java, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Orchestra, Apigee. Experience with test automation tools like JUnit, Karate, Cucumber, and methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
