You will play a key role in evaluating supplier performance, negotiating terms, and coordinating purchasing activities to meet current and future business needs.**What You’ll Work On*** Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, timing, and reliability.* Recognize and leverage sales, promotional campaigns, and cost-saving opportunities.* Assess supplier products for compliance with specifications and quality standards.* Analyze and evaluate bids, tenders, proposals, and quotations.* Negotiate pricing and delivery conditions to secure favorable terms.* Commit to purchases within established authority limits in the organization’s best interest.* Interpret inventory requests, production schedules, and purchase requisitions to align purchasing with demand.* Monitor quality and timeliness of delivered goods and materials.* Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.* Communicate order status and updates to internal stakeholders.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s Degree: Engineering, Science, Business, or Financial Degrees.* 1-3 years of Procurement experience.* Strong analytical and negotiation skills.* Ability to interpret inventory and production documents.* Experience in supplier evaluation and procurement processes.* Excellent communication and organizational skills.**Preferred Qualifications*** Prior experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain role.* Familiarity with tender and bid evaluation processes.* Knowledge of quality standards and compliance requirements.* Proficiency in procurement systems or ERP tools.**Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:**Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
