Part Time - Research Support Specialist
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Public Health, Population Sciences or related field.
Research project experience in Cancer Epidemiology and/or Cancer Prevention.
Experience collecting and analyzing data.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Public Health, Population Sciences or related field.
Brief Description of Duties: Assist the Principal Investigator in the Cancer Center Population Sciences with conducting data management and data analysis to analyze cancer risk and survival in a cohort of Beryllium workers and other ongoing cancer prevention projects.
The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time‑management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
Duties:
Conduct research projects using the prescribed scope and methodology in Cancer Epidemiology and Cancer Prevention to analyze cancer risk, latency and survival.
Collect and analyze data, including periodical/literature search and utilizing specialized skills in related field to analyze the collected data.
Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations. May also assist in grant writing.
Other duties as assigned.
