He is partner with a leading pharmaceutical organization to place a
National Account Manager -East Coast . This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans across national and regional payer organizations, specialty pharmacies, and key health systems to optimize patient access to the company’s immunology portfolio.
This individual will partner closely with
Key Account Managers (KAMs) ,
Regional Sales Directors (RSDs) , and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of access strategies, contracting initiatives, and value-based solutions that support business objectives and improve outcomes for patients with immune-mediated diseases.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management
Lead engagement with national and large regional payer accounts, PBMs, specialty pharmacy networks, and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
Develop and execute comprehensive account business plans aligned with corporate and brand objectives.
Negotiate access, formulary positioning, and reimbursement strategies that drive appropriate product utilization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with
Key Account Managers
to ensure local execution of national strategies and identify regional access opportunities or challenges.
Collaborate with
Regional Sales Directors
to align access initiatives with field sales priorities and performance goals.
Work with internal stakeholders (Market Access, Health Economics, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Trade, and Contracting) to deliver tailored value propositions.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive access changes, and policy developments in the immunology space.
Translate payer insights into actionable strategies to strengthen brand positioning and inform commercial planning.
Identify innovative partnerships that enhance patient access and adherence.
Contracting & Business Performance
Lead contract discussions with assigned national accounts to optimize pricing, rebate structures, and value-based arrangements.
Track and report on account performance metrics, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
Drive the achievement of national access, reimbursement, and revenue goals.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum
7+ years
in pharmaceutical account management, payer access, or managed markets roles.
Demonstrated experience managing national or large regional payer accounts.
Prior experience in
immunology, specialty biologics, or rare disease
strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare landscape, payer systems, specialty pharmacy distribution, and reimbursement models.
Proven negotiation, relationship management, and strategic planning skills.
Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in business planning and data-driven decision making.
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills across multiple organizational levels.
