Overview Marana Health, a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) with 10 sites in the Greater Tucson area, is seeking a Physician – Family Medicine to join our integrated team at the Dove Mountain Health Center.

Qualifications (Required)

Board certification/recertification (preferably) or board eligibility in Family Practice.

Completion and maintenance of annual CME requirements for licensure.

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.

Licensed to practice medicine in Arizona.

Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing with accepted healthcare plans.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Fingerprint clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Qualifications (Preferred)

Experience in a group medicine practice setting.

Supervisory Responsibility

May occasionally provide direction, training, or guidance to others.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective teamwork and judgment in complex situations.

Knowledge of community and public health systems.

Proficiency in diagnostic procedures and treatment within a CHC model.

Working knowledge of pharmacology, nutrition, and mental health.

Credentialing with all health‑care plans accepted by the Health Center.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership Team

Member of medical staff team, communicating with Medical Director and senior managers.

Participant in strategic planning and program development.

Assist in budgeting and fiscal planning.

Develop and maintain high‑quality clinical information system.

Implement health‑care plan and attend monthly provider meetings.

Clinical Care

Provide direct patient care and supervise provider assistants.

Maintain licensure and board certifications.

Participate in after‑hours consultations, on‑call duties, and hospital hours as applicable.

Attend educational workshops and remain current with professional knowledge.

Ensure continuity of care through effective communication with other providers.

Medical Policy

Develop and enforce written clinic policies, protocols, and staffing patterns.

Implement practice guidelines and quality improvement procedures.

Quality Improvement

Help develop, implement, and review QI programs covering clinical indicators, utilization management, peer review, and patient satisfaction.

Assist in conflict resolution and clinic flow management.

Promote education of staff regarding relevant topics and student placement.

Collaborate with supervisors on support staff performance.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer.
