Family Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant - Immediate Care Location: Orland Park, IL

Base Pay Range $53.80/hr - $80.70/hr

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and determine or alter treatment and management plans appropriate for age, acuity and clinical condition.

Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.

Manage conditions based on evidence‑based care, cost effectiveness, and risk/benefit assessment.

Provide health promotion, disease prevention and disease management counseling and education.

Manage patients as part of an interdisciplinary team and within scope of practice; seek consultation or referrals as appropriate.

Escalate need for emergent or specialized care when necessary.

Maintain accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record; submit services consistent with coding and billing practices.

Facilitate consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among healthcare team and community agencies.

Perform office or hospital procedures in accordance with specialty practice and granted privileges.

Participate in quality, safety, peer review initiatives and departmental meetings.

Participate in education/onboarding of new team members, students, and other health care professionals.

Seek experiences to maintain and develop clinical and professional skills and advance the profession.

Licensure, Certification, and Registration

Active RN and APRN/APRN‑FPA/APNP or other APRN license(s) in state(s) of practice.

Active national board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served.

Active DEA registration prior to hire.

For Illinois practice: active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire.

Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by practice prior to or within 6 months of hire.

Education Master’s Degree in Nursing.

Experience No experience required.

High level of clinical proficiency and excellent decision‑making skills.

Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a healthcare team.

Adaptability to evolving technology and proficiency with electronic medical record.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.

Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday.

Have functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing.

Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs over head; carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.

Operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
