Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced
RF III Optimization Engineer
to support radio network design, implementation, and optimization activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in 4G/5G technologies, hands‑on experience with planning tools, and demonstrated leadership on large‑scale projects.
Key Qualifications:
Experience & Leadership:
Minimum of
10 years
in RF design, implementation, or optimization.
Leadership experience on
5+ projects
is required.
Must have led all technical activities for at least
2 major projects
(e.g., major metro or statewide), including:
Technical team organization and oversight
Communication with project managers and customers
Delivery of technical excellence across all workstreams
Proficient with multiple wireless technologies:
5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave
License Assisted Access (LAA), 4G LTE, IoT, CBRS
Strong understanding of
Layer 3 messages
for 4G and 5G
Skilled in event analysis and addressing issues related to:
Accessibility
Retainability
Handover (HO) success rate
Design & Optimization Skills:
Extensive experience using
radio planning tools :
Planet EV
Atoll
Deep understanding of:
Link budget calculations
Inputs and configurations needed to initiate new planning projects
Proposing new site locations based on coverage/capacity needs
Hands‑on experience with
ACP (Automatic Cell Planning)
tools
Evaluate and enhance
network/cell design
Make recommendations for performance and coverage improvements
