Regular, Full Time, Non-Exempt Schedule
Monday‑Thursday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm; Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm. After training, the role may work 40‑60 % remote. Job Description
Provides comprehensive administrative support to the Orthopedics Department, managing complex scheduling, committee coordination, and documentation while ensuring adherence to hospital policies and procedures. Essential Responsibilities
Screens telephone calls and determines which individuals require face‑to‑face meetings or escalation to managers. Schedules and prepares appointments, meetings, and travel for diverse and complex engagements. Oversees planning and preparation for committees, distributing minutes and preparing agendas, materials, and records. Plans, coordinates, and recommends high‑profile programs and events for the department. Independently composes and edits sensitive correspondence, reports, and documents for final approval by manager. Compiles, analyzes, and summarizes data from multiple sources to create detailed reports, documents, and high‑level presentations. Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred. 3–5 years of related work experience. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other web‑based applications; capable of producing complex documents, performing analysis, and maintaining databases. Competencies
Decision Making – Makes decisions based on precedents, policies, and objectives; regularly recommends actions for the department. Problem Solving – Addresses varied problems with analysis and interpretation. Independence of Action – Sets goals and achieves results with broad guidance. Written Communications – Communicates clearly in written English with internal and external customers. Oral Communications – Converses effectively in English with staff, patients, families, and external customers. Knowledge – Demonstrates working knowledge of standard concepts, procedures, and policies. Team Work – Leads small projects or groups, fostering collaboration and workflow improvements. Customer Service – Provides high‑level customer service, staying calm in stressful situations. Physical Nature of the Job
