Position: 40 Hours (3:00 PM–11:30 PM)

Job Summary EVS Associate – In Patient performs daily cleaning tasks in patient areas, office, public, and/or other non‑patient areas. Responsibilities include daily cleaning, equipment cleaning, and project cleaning in an assigned area for units such as NICU, PACU, ICU, inpatient units, float team, discharge team, runner, and public duties.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform multiple‑step cleaning procedures, including daily cleaning, discharge cleaning, discharge bed making, O.R. cleaning, between‑case cleaning, upholstery, wall, and glass care.
Use floor care equipment (dry mopping, wet mopping, carpet bonneting, extracting). Continue work from previous shift and report incomplete assignments and maintenance issues.
Respond to stat orders such as discharges, spills, floods, and all hospital‑wide emergency drills. Clean all organic body waste and patient equipment.
Collect, seal, and deliver solid and contaminated waste to designated compactor area.
Prepare and select cleaning solutions using department procedures. Report low supplies, sign equipment in/out of storage, maintain equipment contact, and deliver soiled mops, cloths, and linens to designated areas.
Required Qualifications
Some high school required.
0–1 year related work experience.
Basic computer familiarity; ability to navigate web‑based applications.
Competencies
Decision Making – follow specific instructions and procedures with minimal supervision.
Problem Solving – address routine problems and identify process improvements.
Independence – perform tasks according to general instructions.
Written Communications – read and write in English, understand safety instructions.
Oral Communications – understand spoken English and communicate effectively.
Knowledge – demonstrate basic knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures.
Team Work – interact respectfully with employees and staff.
Customer Service – maintain a positive attitude and respond promptly.
Physical Nature of the Job Medium work: Exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently. Requires standing and moving throughout shift.
