Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for a hands‑on
Java Application Frameworks Developer Consultant . This role is hybrid commute (2/3 days office/home). It is a 6‑month contract with possible extensions or an option to hire. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. – NO H1 visa support for this role. Rate: $100‑106/hour on W2 (DOE), possible C2C as well.
Position Overview A framework developer with expertise in Java and Python is required to modernise a risk platform. The role involves designing and optimising reusable framework components that enable scalable, high‑performance applications in Azure cloud environments, utilising cluster computing, Databricks, and Kubernetes technologies.
Core Expertise and Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of observability, orchestration, streaming data, and data harmonisation across multiple sources and formats to develop and maintain framework components that support rapid application development and integration.
Collaborate across teams, contribute to architectural enhancements, and provide guidance to colleagues.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of professional experience.
Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Significant experience working with Java and Python in enterprise contexts, demonstrating proficiency in scalable systems, microservices, cloud technologies, and software design patterns.
Preferred Skills and Environment
Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with risk management and compliance.
CI/CD and DevOps methodologies, along with monitoring and performance‑tuning tools.
The position is part of ongoing technology‑transformation activities in a cloud‑native setting.
