As we build our team, we are seeking a transformative Vice President of Product Engineering to lead the development of our core platform and applications.
Job Summary The Vice President of Product Engineering is a highly visible, strategic leader responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of all engineering efforts related to our product offerings. This role will lead and scale our product engineering organization, driving the creation of highly scalable, cloud‑native SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with a proven track record of building world‑class teams and delivering innovative products in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Vision and Leadership:
Partner with executive leadership to define the technical vision and long‑term strategy for our product portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Execution and Delivery:
Lead the entire product engineering organization to deliver high‑quality, secure, and performant software releases on time. Drive execution across multiple teams, ensuring predictable delivery against our product roadmap.
Team Building and Mentorship:
Build, mentor, and lead a world‑class engineering organization. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence that attracts and retains top talent.
Architectural Excellence:
Champion modern architectural principles for building scalable, resilient, and secure cloud‑native applications. Guide teams in making key architectural decisions that support long‑term growth.
Cross‑Functional Partnership:
Serve as the primary engineering counterpart to Product Management and Design, fostering a deeply collaborative environment to effectively translate product vision into technical reality.
Operational Rigor:
Oversee the operational health and performance of all production systems, implementing best practices for monitoring, reliability, and incident management to ensure a best‑in‑class customer experience.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership capacity (Director or above) managing multiple software engineering teams.
A proven track record of successfully building and delivering complex, scalable, cloud‑native SaaS products to market.
Demonstrated experience scaling engineering teams in a high‑growth startup or technology company.
Extensive experience working in an agile development environment.
Technical Skills
Deep expertise in architecting and building highly scalable applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong command of modern software architecture patterns, including microservices, event‑driven architecture, and serverless computing.
Proficiency with modern DevOps principles and CI/CD practices.
Experience leading teams that work with modern programming languages and frameworks.
Soft Skills
Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire, influence, and motivate the entire engineering organization.
Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and non‑technical stakeholders.
