A law firm seeks an experienced Corporate Finance Associate to join its dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This position is ideal for associates with a background in corporate finance, particularly those with experience in borrower-side leverage finance and fund finance. The successful candidate will be involved in high-profile transactions and provide legal counsel on sophisticated finance matters.
Duties:
Provide legal support on borrower-side leverage finance and fund finance transactions.
Draft, negotiate, and review complex financing agreements.
Advise clients on various aspects of corporate finance, including structuring and restructuring deals.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to navigate complex financial transactions.
Conduct due diligence and manage risk assessment throughout the transaction process.
Work closely with clients to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Contribute to team efforts on high-value financing projects, ensuring timely and efficient deal execution.
Requirements:
Between 3 to 7 years of experience in corporate finance law, with a focus on borrower-side leverage finance and/or fund finance.
Experience handling sophisticated financial transactions and advising clients in corporate finance matters.
Strong understanding of corporate finance regulations and industry trends.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and adept at managing complex transactions under tight deadlines.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active membership in the DC State Bar.
Skills:
Expertise in leverage finance and fund finance transactions.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
Proficiency in conducting legal research and due diligence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide strategic legal counsel and risk assessment.
Highly organized with the capacity to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
