What You’ll Achieve With Us
Make significant individual contributions that are used instantly and heavily by our clients.
Leverage your orthogonal expertise to introduce abstractions and systems that improve the team’s velocity.
Raise the bar for engineering quality by setting and enforcing standards.
Mentor teammates as they grow into architects and senior engineers.
Work closely with product, design, and clients to define what we’re building.
Requirements
Collaborate well with engineering teammates and cross‑functional teams, especially when resolving tension with designers and product managers.
Provide positive, constructive feedback in the moment and welcome the same in return.
Be willing to work in‑person at our Redwood City office at least a couple of days a week.
Have 2+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Icing on the Cake
Experience in a fast‑paced startup environment.
Familiarity with construction or building materials industry.
Proficiency with Go, React, and TypeScript.
Interview Process
Intro Call (15 min): Getting to know each other and aligning on expectations.
Technical Screen (30 min): Coding challenges with an engineer.
System Design Screen (45 min): Designing a system to address an abstract problem.
Onsite in Redwood City (~5 hours):
Walk (45 min): Business overview.
System Design (1 hr): Walk through a past system.
Lunch (45 min): Team bonding.
Product Collaboration (1 hr): PRD discussion.
Culture (30 min): Reflection on past experiences.
Coding Skills (1 hr): Algorithmic challenges.
Tech Depth Trivia (30 min): Practical coding & debugging.
