Infogain
Infogain is seeking a
hands-on Java Technical Lead
to design and deliver high‑scale, low‑latency backend services. You’ll lead a small squad of engineers while coding daily across
Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka, and relational databases (RDS / SQL / PostgreSQL) . Experience with
Apache Flink
and/or
AI/ML‑driven services
is a strong plus.
What You’ll Do
Own end‑to‑end architecture and delivery of cloud‑native backend services and APIs.
Lead and mentor 4–8 engineers; drive code quality, reviews, and best practices.
Design event‑driven and streaming solutions using
Kafka
(and
Flink
if applicable).
Build resilient services with
Spring Boot , integrating with
AWS
services (e.g., ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, MSK, RDS, Secrets Manager).
Model, tune, and optimize
PostgreSQL/SQL
schemas, queries, and performance.
Champion observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and reliability (circuit breakers, retries).
Enforce security, compliance, and cost‑aware architectures on AWS.
Collaborate with Product/PM/QA to define scope, delivery plans, and acceptance criteria.
Drive CI/CD, testing strategies, and release readiness.
What You’ll Bring
8–12+ years of backend engineering experience, including 2–4+ years in a
Tech Lead
capacity.
Expert‑level
Java
and
Spring Boot
(WebFlux, Data, Security) with production microservices.
Strong
AWS
fundamentals and hands‑on with containerized workloads (Docker, ECS/EKS) and infra‑as‑code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
Deep experience with
Kafka
(producers/consumers, partitions, schema, exactly‑once/at‑least‑once semantics).
Proficiency with
RDS/SQL/PostgreSQL : indexing, query tuning, migrations, and HA/DR patterns.
Solid grounding in distributed systems: consistency, idempotency, backpressure, and failure modes.
Track record of leading teams through design reviews, roadmaps, and iterative delivery.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
Nice to Have
Apache Flink
(stateful stream processing, CEP, checkpoints, savepoints).
AI/ML
integration experience (feature services, vector DBs, model‑serving, or embedding retrieval in Java services).
Reactive and asynchronous patterns (Project Reactor), and high‑throughput API gateways.
Security/compliance exposure (OAuth2/OIDC, Secrets rotation, PCI/PII, SOC2).
Performance engineering (JMH, Gatling/k6), chaos/resilience testing.
How We Work
Pragmatic engineering culture focused on measurable outcomes.
Code ownership, pair reviews, and “you build it, you run it” mindset.
Modern CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and strong observability.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
