A private equity-backed, rapidly expanding consumer labeling and packaging company is seeking a
Vice President of Strategic Initiatives . With operations across nearly 30 plants nationwide and industry leadership across a range of labeling solutions for major brands, craft producers, and direct-to-consumer channels, the business has achieved substantial M&A-driven growth. As the company enters its next phase under new leadership, this executive will work closely with the CEO to drive high-impact strategic, operational, and integration initiatives across the platform.
This position reports directly to the CEO
and offers significant visibility and influence across the entire organization.
Geography While relocation is not required, and other executives in the group work remotely, frequent travel to Nashville is expected. Candidates should be willing to integrate into a strong and active company culture based there.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Transformation:
Lead strategic, enterprise-wide programs designed to drive growth, operational efficiency, and integration across a fragmented, fast-moving market.
Strategic Partnership:
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, supporting both long-term strategic transformation and near-term execution priorities.
M&A Integration Leadership:
Oversee complex integration efforts, ensuring alignment across operations, culture, systems, and commercial teams.
Operational Excellence:
Lead initiatives to enhance plant-level performance, improve go-to-market strategies, and strengthen KPI reporting and performance management systems.
Program Management:
Develop and manage detailed project roadmaps, governance models, and steering committees to ensure accountability and successful execution.
Optimization & Growth:
Identify and prioritize opportunities for operational and commercial improvement across diverse markets and product categories.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with finance, operations, and commercial leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable results.
M&A Support:
Contribute to the company’s acquisition pipeline by leading diligence, integration planning, and post-close execution activities.
Leadership Presence:
Provide a steady, senior presence capable of navigating complex organizational dynamics and driving alignment with minimal oversight.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience
in corporate strategy, operations leadership, and/or top-tier management consulting.
Experience in
manufacturing or industrial sectors
preferred, though not required.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
Proven success leading
transformational initiatives
in
private equity–backed
or
high-growth
environments.
Experience managing
M&A transactions ,
post-merger integrations , and
operational excellence programs.
Strong collaboration skills with finance, data, and operations teams; ability to influence across all organizational levels.
Exceptional financial, analytical, and project management capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trust and lead through influence.
High adaptability and resilience, with a willingness to
travel frequently —particularly to
