Position Summary/Department Summary
This 40-hour social work position will provide a full range of clinical social work for patients and families who receive care in the primary care practice at Children's Hospital Boston. Social workers are highly valued members of interdisciplinary care team providing support around psychosocial issues, health related social needs and behavioral health.
Key Responsibilities
Providing psychosocial screening and assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and facilitation of use of hospital and community services
Acting as a resource information and referral, program development and psychosocial consultation to multidisciplinary teams
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in social work.
Experience: Social work experience in a medical environment highly preferred; flexibility and the ability to work in fast‑paced, dynamic environment; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; persons of diversity strongly encouraged to apply.
Licensure/Certifications: LCSW in the state of MA required, LICSW licensure in the state of MA is preferred.
Schedule and Compensation Schedule is 9:00am-5:30pm, with potential for one evening shift/week until 8PM. Eligible for a hybrid schedule once fully trained. This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign‑on bonus.

Salary Information The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good‑faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job‑related factors.
