We’re a third‑generation, family‑owned manufacturer experiencing strong growth, and we’re searching for a CNC Programming Specialist who thrives at the intersection of programming, process, and production.
The Challenge Take ownership of programs for CNC lathes and mills: plan the approach, select tooling and insert grades, write efficient code in Mastercam and/or Esprit, and collaborate across the shop to deliver on‑time, high‑quality first articles. Then keep production humming by solving problems quickly and sharing your know‑how with others.
How you’ll succeed
Program all assigned CNC work centers from blueprint to first article.
Work closely with Leads, setup personnel, and shop supervisors to minimize downtime and ensure smooth changeovers.
Train operators and new hires on setups, edits, and machining techniques.
Audit drawings, flag and correct print discrepancies, and coordinate with engineering.
Leverage deep understanding of materials, insert grades, and tooling to improve reliability and tool life.
Conduct time studies and create accurate cycle time estimates in CAM.
Lead by example and reinforce a culture of precision and quality.
What you need to bring
5+ years programming CNC lathes & mills with full first‑article responsibility.
2+ years in Mastercam and/or Esprit.
Ability to read blueprints, perform setups, select tooling, and handle multi‑axis programming.
Experience using Quality Control testing/measuring equipment.
A track record of training and hands‑on troubleshooting.
Tools you’ll use
CNC Lathes (2–4 axis): Doosan, Okuma, DMG Mori Seiki
CAM: Esprit (Mastercam experience a plus)
Programming: G‑Code and M‑Code
Work setting & Physical demands
Combination of shop and office work; PPE required in production areas.
Capability to lift/handle materials up to 70 lbs as needed.
