NTT DATA is hiring a Mainframe Engineer/Developer to join the team in Jersey City, New York. This role supports business partners to ensure high quality project implementation. The engineer will handle code research, development, testing and collaborate with environment groups to integrate and support changes from development through production.
Responsibilities
Research and develop mainframe code and perform debugging.
Maintain and support applications in CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, MQ and JCL environments.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate changes from development to test to production.
Ensure quality and timely delivery of mainframe solutions.
Assist with environments and use tools such as scheduler, debugger, and file‑aid tools.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in mainframe coding and debugging.
5+ years of experience with CICS and COBOL.
3‑5 years of experience with DB2, VSAM, MQ and JCL.
Knowledge of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing and CICS system concepts.
Familiarity with DB2 tools, File‑Aid, scheduler and debugger tools.
Good communication skills and ability to interact with partners.
Additional knowledge in core Java and front‑end technologies (Angular) is a plus.
Experience with migration tools/processes, SFTP/AWXAY secure file transfer.
Ability to work independently and within a team structure.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
